"Unfortunately, on September 2, 2025, he was the victim of a serious motorcycle accident that left him in a coma. Doctors recommended an urgent evacuation to Conakry for better care, as he suffers from a head trauma and a cerebral haemorrhage," said Mr. Jean Guilavogui, secretary of the Bible group of pupils and students of Guinea.

Being an active member of the Biblical group of pupils and students of Guinea, of which Mr. Jean Guilavogui is the secretary general. Israel Kourouma is a young third-year law student who was involved in a motorcycle traffic accident in N'Nzérékoré, a region located in the southeast, more than 1000km from the capital Conakry.

"So, want. Take him by road, take an ambulance to get through. To take the road, it was very complicated because he was in a coma and there was a cerebral haemorrhage. And it happened 1000 kilometers from Conakry," he said

"So, it takes at least 24 hours or more before arriving. And with the state of our roads, it was very complicated. In this situation, we contacted the MAF, and they played a very important role in this medical transfer,

"And what deeply marked us is that despite the cancellation of its flights this week between Conakry and N'Nzérékoré, the MAF immediately agreed to respond to our request for help for the evacuation of this young man. For us, this is really a humanitarian gesture of great value.”

"He is in a deep coma, the hospital has fought with all possible means to save this young man, and, at the last minute, we really saw that there is a need for examinations, a CT scan and better care. But this was not available in our department," said Dr. Alexis Honomou, a doctor on duty in the intensive care unit of the regional hospital of N'Nzérékoré.

"This is only possible in Conakry, and it was urgently necessary to bring him in. Fortunately, in less than 3 hours we arrived in Conakry, something that was really not possible if the MAF did not exist in Guinea.

"Thanks to this gesture, the life of a young student with a bright future has a chance to be saved. And we see in this gesture for us more than just air transport. It is truly a humanitarian work and a true Christian solidarity,

"So, we want to take the opportunity once again, to say thank you to MAF, not only for the support they have just given us, but also for the great role that MAF plays with communities in the interior of the country

"We pray that God will continue to support this ministry, that this ministry will continue to grow, and that this ministry will continue to impact even more lives in Guinea and beyond."
